The M12, a true classic made in the English city of Leicester, has not changed at all since Fred Perry first designed it in the 1950s. Legend has it that a Lillywhites customer asked to have a Fred Perry shirt customised in the colours of his football team. Fred then decided to subtly add the team colours to the collar and cuffs. And that is how the M12 was born. This new model, the first to carry our signature 5-4-4 twin tipping, took the label from a sportswear brand to a streetwear brand. With Fred's iconic streamlined fit, its lines slightly squarer than the M3600, this model is the result of truly careful craftsmanship, with every shirt knitted, dyed, cut, embroidered and hand-finished in Leicester, England.
