Our Dr. Martens Made in England Vintage collection is still made at our original factory in Wellingborough. Shoemakers follow the original construction techniques to create this 3-eye 1461 shoe in Quilon leather, a reissue of the original classic Dr. Martens leather. The leather is hard-wearing with a smooth finish and is built on our "59" Last, our most iconic fit. It is Goodyear welted: the upper and sole are stitched together rather than simply glued, as with many shoes. The Dr. Martens air-cushioned sole offers good resistance to abrasion, slipping, oil and grease. The small notches visible on the welt, made by the original stitching machine, make these shoes uniquely Dr. Martens.
